Community Guidelines

Welcome to the It’s My Health community. This space exists for one purpose: to help people learn, share, and support each other on their health journeys. Our community works best when everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to participate.

These guidelines aren’t here to police you. They’re here to protect the spirit of the community. They help keep conversations constructive, ensure everyone feels welcome, and maintain the educational focus that makes It’s My Health special.

By participating here, you’re joining a group of people who are curious, thoughtful, and committed to learning. These guidelines help us keep it that way.

1. Be Kind, Be Human

This community is built on curiosity, learning, and support. Treat others with respect, even when you disagree.

No shaming, no hostility, no personal attacks. We’re all here to learn and grow.

2. Share Experiences, Not Diagnoses

You’re welcome to share what has helped you, what you’ve tried, or what you’re wondering about.

But please don’t diagnose other members, prescribe treatments, or give medical instructions.

We keep things educational, not clinical.

3. Protect Your Privacy (and Others’)

Share only what you’re comfortable sharing.

Don’t post medical records, lab results, or anything you wouldn’t want publicly visible.

Never share someone else’s private information.

4. No Emergencies

This is not a place for urgent medical concerns.

If you’re experiencing a medical emergency or crisis, seek immediate professional care.

5. Evidence-Informed, Not Promotional

We welcome thoughtful discussion about supplements, lifestyle changes, and health strategies.

We do not allow:

  • Spam
  • Sales pitches
  • MLM promotions
  • Affiliate links
  • “Miracle cure” claims

This keeps the space trustworthy and safe.

6. Stay on Topic

Our forums are for health education, functional medicine insights, and community learning.

Posts that are wildly off-topic may be removed to keep the space focused and helpful.

7. Be Honest About Who You Are

We encourage you to create a username that protects your privacy. But transparency matters: no impersonating other people, and no claiming medical credentials you don’t have.

8. Respectful Curiosity Is Encouraged

Ask questions. Share your story. Explore ideas.

Just do it with humility and an open mind.

We’re all students here.

9. Moderation With a Light Touch

Our moderators are here to keep the community safe and constructive.

We reserve the right to remove posts or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines, but our goal is always education, not punishment.

10. You’re Responsible for Your Own Health Decisions

This community is for learning, not medical care. Always consult your own clinician before making changes to your health plan.
